Pinched nerve in neck

I think I have a pinched nerve in my neck. When I move my head back or to one side, the pain goes down my arm. Stretching does nothing because it isn’t muscular- I need some suggestions on what to do. My doc was useless- prescribed pain pills that did nothing. X-rays were negative so it’s not a disk.

The disks. Doesn’t show up on X-ray- need an MRI to see a bulging disc.

Prob need a steroid pack. If that doesn’t work maybe steroid shots. Or physical therapy

Try ice packs and max daily dose of Advil.

Have had three massages that didnt help. Even laying flat on a massage table hurts. It sucks.

Have the same issue. I had an MRI done on my neck on Friday and I have a bulging disc in my neck and a tumor in the same location. Getting an MRI with contrast this week. Hopefully the tumor is not a big deal.
It started in my left arm. Severe shooting pains. I went to a chiropractor and the problem in my left arm went away but it then presented in my right arm. Now it’s not going away although it has become tolerable. Hopefully after they figure the tumor out this week they can treat the bulging disc and I’ll get relief. Doctor doesn’t believe it’s cancer but he wants to be certain before he sticks a needle in the tumor as it’s in the path of treatment of the disc.

Tingling sensation down your arm does denote some nerve action.
1. Is this from a sudden onset of injury?
2. You jerk or pull and this cause the pain?
3. If it goes away when moving from side to side it could just mean that the disc is herniated on that side.
4. I would find a chiropractor you trust. If I recommended one everyone would thing that I am who I recommend. Tell the Chiropractic when you walk in that you don't want any snapping or cracking. just deep tissue release.
If the pain and tingling continues down your arm time for surgery. I would recommend Eric Wolf in Lake Charles for any Neck or low back surgery.
good luck

I get this from time to time. I can generally get it to improve by taking something for inflammation (I.e. aspirin) and immobilizing my neck to the extent possible. I get a strong urge to crack my neck, but that really aggravates things.
