That mechanical traction is about your best conservative option that can work quickly if you respond well. Can order different versions of Amazon.

Go see a neuro or ortho ASAP. They will advise if you need surgery or if PT can help.
I had a herniation at L4-5 with nerve root impingement at L-4 with numbness and tingling down to my foot. I saw an ortho and did PT, which helped a little. Also saw a neurosurgeon who advised against surgery.
It took almost a year and a half of very little activity but it eventually resolved without surgery. Good luck and if you can give it time.

Get a cervical decompression device. I have the Saunders Brand and they run $150-$200 used on EBay.

For me took an MRI to diagnose a degenerative disc in neck pinching nerve, then a series of 3 cortisone spinal epidurals 1 month apart to ease the pain and inflammation. Still hafta take 1 gabapentin at bedtime and wear a carpel tunnel wrist brace (for the numbness and tingling in wrist/hand) at night to sleep.
