Joi Lansing had quite a body. In spite of her pinups, she was on some "wholesome" TV shows as a guest (I Love Lucy as one example). She had, as you can see, some really nice looking legs too. This wasn't very common among the extra-busty actresses of the day.

Didn't she play one of the wives of Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs when they appeared on "The Beverly Hillbillies" as their "City Wives".
Both those women were very glamorous and totally out of sync with the entire cast of "Hillbillies".

She played Gladys Flatt. Couldn’t cook and didn’t matter.

My dad had a '53 Chevy... Note: That's actually a '52.
Except it was yellow...
Made his way up to LSU in it when he was there...

WWI was where German Shepherds earned their reputation. The brits loved them, but couldnt bring themselves to give the German's credit so they called them Alsatians.
quote:
Why the name change? It all goes back to World War I. The breed was developed in the late 19th century and was known as the Deutscher Schaferhund, which translates into English as German shepherd dog. When the First World War broke out, Allied countries wanted nothing to do with anything containing "German" in its name. Thus, the American Kennel Club changed the name of the German shepherd to "shepherd dog" in 1917, just as the U.S. was about to enter the fray.
In Great Britain and some European countries, the name was changed to Alsatian, after the Alsace-Lorraine region
