Hope I'm not stepping on your toes, but sometimes I think old color photos need to be brought back to the original colors if possible. Just to get the real feel of the day they were taken.
These two deserve to be seen that way, I think.

[quote]Dad, as USMC pilot, was stationed in Miami during the time of the Cuban Missile Crisis. His was a "special weapons squadron" (e.g. nukes). He is the only Marine to have dropped a nuke test weapon, and it was off an AD Skyraider while he was a member of the squadron.
His log books are interesting. Every day flights out of Miami for "training." Missile Crisis starts - no entries. A few weeks later, the "training" entries start again. for USN and USMC. was very weird seeing intruders launch with silver bullets during "chopsticks" evolutions.

Not sure I'd be willing to buy a ticket to see the Ritz Brothers. It's possible they might play better for me in a 'live' performance. But in films, their propensity to make silly faces in close-up shots usually makes me recoil a bit. Still, it might be a better gamble with the Ritz guys than waiting the following week to see Mickey Rooney, who also tends to get on my nerves. Although, I did pay for a ticket to see Rooney (with Ann Miller) in that "Sugar Babies" musical-revue that was touring in the 1980s. So, been there, done that.
