The original "Family Truckster"...

I found out long ago
It's a long way down the holiday road

Jack be nimble, Jack be quick
Take a ride on the West Coast kick

Have a Merry Kodachrome Christmas!

I remember my grandparents had an end table exactly like this one:

One of my great-aunts had a fake fireplace similar to this one:

My parents had that same Ponderosa Pine paneling in their house up until the 80's..

People that took it out, took it out one piece at a time to save it..

She had legs that never ended
I was halfway paralyzed

Would have smashed her to smithereens given the opportunity.

A more mature photo of her ...

No telling in my remodeling career how much I tore out, painted over, and saved to replace pieces.
Beautiful stuff from a “day gone by” era.

Every house had hardwood floors as it was the cheapest option. The amount that was shag carpeted was staggering. Then the 90’s came in and it was a race to reclaim the original wood.

Oh well, it’s been a part of me putting beans and biscuits on the table.

Remodelers must have sold thousands of miles of pine back in the '50's.
