Hey, man. You've got some really neat photos that you've posted and you've done your due diligence in finding them, but now I'm gonna ask you a favor and I'm gonna require some REAL work from you... Dig into those old family albums that are laying around somewhere and scan some of those old photos that are of PERSONAL interest.

I'd love to see what you come up with. And I promise you, it's a lot more satisfying and fulfilling than doing a google search for old photos of historical events.

Dig 'em up and post 'em here with a bit of the back story behind each one. I'd love to see what you've got!

Ben Hogan, pro golfer, was involved in foggy crash with bus in Feb 1949. Notice the steering column embedded in the driver seat.

He survived the crash with the medical care of Dr. Alton Ochsner of New Orleans.

In 1930 the Indiana Bell building was rotated 90°. Over 34 days, the 22-million-pound structure was moved 15 inch/hr… all while 600 employees still worked there. There was no interruption to gas, heat, electricity, water, sewage, or the telephone service they provided. No one inside felt it move.

Wow some people ended up with a really shitty, close-up view of another building (parking garage?), and their offices got a lot darker.
