I think I was around 7 or 8 when we got it. So around same time 74/75. My dad bought an Artic Cat Pantera a few years later and my brother and I eventually grew into that.

This was the last snowmobile we had Yamaha SS, ours had blue colors. Use to go to northern Wisconsin and haul arse open throttle across the frozen lakes.
Around that time late 70's/early 80's, Yamaha, Polaris, and SkiDoo were developing the independent front suspensions which really smoothed out trail riding.
The fastest snowmobile I was ever on was an old Polaris which had three cyclinders/three carb setup.

You’re missing out HH.
Those three wheelers were deathmobile/roll over machines, lot of friends got hurt on those.
