I once saw a TV Guide listing for an episode of Jack Von Impe Presents that read "Topic: Teen Sexuality. Guest: Col. Harlan Sanders."

This 1967 exploitation film was the movie debut of Fred Willard (as a high school baseball coach)

YouTube clip

It's weird seeing him play this scene straight. It still comes across as a put-on.

Pepsi billboard in 1969 Arizona. But the most interesting thing in this pic to me was learning there were already copy shops this early. Xerox machines had only gone on sale barely a decade before.

in 1921, the submarine USS R-14 ran out of usable fuel and lost radio communications while searching for a missing ship. The crew stitched together blankets, hammocks and battery deck covers, and then spent 5 days under sail to travel 120 miles back to Hawaii. The CO received a letter of commendation for the crew's innovative actions from his Submarine Division Commander, CDR Chester Nimitz.

Female combat photographer Lee Miller takes a bath in Adolf Hitler's Munich apartment on April 30, 1945. Several days later she will take some of the Holocaust's most iconic photographs at Dachau Concentration Camp.

British actress Madeline Smith - a slender woman with natural charms. "Vampire Lover" was her best movie, at least from a viewing point of view.
