Photographer Philip Halsman did portraits of a lot of famous people including actors/actresses and royalty. Because people can be unexpressive, guarded and stiff in portraits he usually asked them to jump in order to capture a spontaneous image. Here are some you should recognize, but he also did the same for people like the Duke of Windsor.

Southside, Chicago IL 1941. Easter morning, some young men walking from church to go watch a movie. The one in the middle was 14 here, died when he was 86.
