Believe it or not. I have a USO costume Dress from WWII... Sequined Unkle Sam style dress. (OR Flag).. Soon to be on a mannequin... No pic at this time. It's in a box...

Ashtrays on the table at a high school prom...

I mean, I know this and remember this kind of thing at my own high school dances in the 1980s, but I also remember pay phones, typewriters, gas station attendants and all.

It's just -- wow-- things ARE so very different today, and things like that little detail make it hit home.
