Me and the Mad Dog got tangled up one night around 1980. 15 year old me and the Dog had a big time at an FOP dance. I got kicked out and my buddy drove me home. Thank God for the little vent window in the back of his car. It wasn't a pretty sight.

After the parade was over I walked out to Rampart St. to catch the bus to head back to the Lower 9th where I lived back then.
The busses were so crowded that I began to walk and did so all the way home from the Quarter to the 5500 block of Dauphine St. which was right off Caffin Ave. I don't recall how long it took but I remember stopping to throw up at least a half dozen times and having the dry heaves before it was done.
Like you, I've never let a single drop of that vile stuff pass my lips again.
