The Alfa Romeo Carabo: A 1968 Concept That Looked Straight Out of the Future.
It introduced several features that were unheard of at the time, most notably the scissor doors — a design element that would later become a signature of supercars in the decades that followed.
It was powered by a mid-mounted 2.0-liter V8 engine producing 230 horsepower at 8,800 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.
Paired with a 6-speed Colotti manual transmission, the prototype was capable of reaching a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) — impressive performance by any standard.

Damn, that picture makes me sad. Pregnant and surrounded by baby clothes for her never-to-be-born child.
Makes me hate the Manson family even more...

PAW-PAW!!
Definitely somebody's paw-paw. From the way he is dressed and wearing his pants up high, to that car in the garage, to the cigarette in his hand and the glasses, he looks a lot like mine back in the late 60s / early 70s.

And the fact she was the last to die after seeing all her friends being killed and begging for them to spare her and her child's life is all the more cruel.
I can't imagine what was going through her mind during that carnage.
Susan Atkins and Tex Watkins stabbed her 16 times and then hung her while she was still alive.
frick California for commuting their death sentences to life.

I was going to get one, but the doors go up too high, and you can't get out of it when you pull it into the garage

It wasn't California. The Supreme Court ruled it was not constitutional which voided it in all states

Kinda looks like it had some influence on later high end sports cars…
