If you're on Facebook(lol?), check out a group called Crescent City Mafia, Murder, and Mysteries. Endless amounts of cool photos on there.

I dont know how to post FB pics

I gotcha. A friend of mine let's me use her account so I'm not really on FB per se

I'll try and lift some pics off of it later. Lots of good pics that would fit in this thread

I just went to the NO Mafia Facebook page and saw a pic of Carlos Marcello. I right clicked then clicked open in new tab. That gives you the url you can UL to imgur or whatever

There are some FB pages that try to keep you from accessing pics unless you join, which I refuse to do. Sometimes you can access these pics by shrinking the page down to 33% and right clicking.

But if you're a member you shouldn't need to do that.

The cigar counter of a cafe in East Dallas. The cigar girl is Bonnie Parker. She has yet to meet Clyde Barrow.

Bill Mauldin (October 29, 1921 – January 22, 2003) was an American editorial cartoonist who won two Pulitzer Prizes for his work. He was most famous for his World War II cartoons depicting American soldiers, as represented by the archetypal characters Willie and Joe, two weary and bedraggled infantry troopers who stoically endure the difficulties and dangers of duty in the field. His cartoons were popular with soldiers throughout Europe, and with civilians in the United States as well.

There was one in Livingston, AL, not too long ago; maybe 10-15 yrs ago. May still be there for all I know (guess not).

On Jefferson Street -- is the building still there?

Never knew there were any in LA at all, much less that far West. I wonder if JJ made it into Texas?

1938 Gettysburg reunion.

My wife's great grandfather was there. He was 96 at the time and, unfortunately, caught a cold that turned into pneumonia when he returned home. He passed away not long after he got back home. I guess Gettysburg got him in the end.

Southerners refer to soft drinks as cokes because, well, they're fricking cokes.

Saw Herman’s Hermits, The Animals, The Inn Crowd, The Glory Rhodes (not Robes) and one other band at what we called City Park Stadium. 1966? I was in third grade. My sister is six year older. My mom took her with some of her friends to the concert and I went along. We almost got hit head on on a two lane Causeway bridge on the way home.

There wasn’t much on the Northshore back then.
