I don't know. It's possible. But it appears that this was shot in the 1980s. Those swimsuits had been in style in the US since around 1984 or so. Young Soviets tried like hell to keep up with the latest American fashion fads.

I read a book by Bill Mauldin that was pretty cool. Hard to find humor in WWII but through the eyes of the private he found a way.
