I have always called them wild (or feral)hogs. People think feral hogs and boars are the same thing. Feral just means they are untamed.

Is this fight taking place in the shower or a federal courtroom? Odd places to encounter dog or hog but there aren't many places I won't have a knife.

Nope, even in a pen they will stay back up against the walls. Mostly only charges when you corner them in the corners and you get to close.
