Yes sir. For sched 1-2 you have to have supervising dr sign.

My wife can't write scripts for Oxys w/o her SP.

Era: FTR she's been working for a neurosurgeon for the past 12 years

I never do this. But, I did recently fire a nurse for calling in scripts to friends under my name. Hydrocodone does not require and written Rx. The pharmacies didn't question it because it wasn't excessive. They now track all of our prescriptions and I can print a log of all controlled meds filled under my DEA number in LA and AR. Have busted several since this became available to us. Just busted a preacher forging prescriptions. Added a narcotic to the bottom of a script. I trust no one.

Wow...what's your email if you don't mind or how do you find the log? Under e-prescriptions? I'd like to keep track of my log of controlled meds written.

I have some leniency on those who are overtaking their meds. They're only hurting themselves and I'll assist them in getting help. However, if I catch someone selling, it's their arse.

If she works in LA that would be true. But PAs can write schedule 2 and 2N in MS which is where I primarily work.

I don't know! I have my wife the pharmacist do it. I'll check with her.

email me and I'll find out. You can check individual pt's as well. There's a time lag in rx's being entered, but it'll show up eventually. Usually it's a few weeks behind.

It's the cushiest job there is in medicine. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

With the new erx everyone is using now you can see if Pts are being truthful about meds they take, however I've never seen a log of things I've written. I will email you thanks.

Yes she works in la as the people in the OP do as well.

You're the only person talking about PA's in Mississippi.

BTW, how many scheduled scripts does a PA that works in Derm write a day?

I'll get you the website for LA and AR. Lot's of folks go back and forth. I'll find out the website and how to do it from her and let you know. I think Texas does to, but I've never checked it.

Depends on how many surgeries and other procedures we do, but not more than a handful a month. But to stay licensed to write schedule meds they make us keep up with all the details.

Nobody can write for Schedule I. I guess the only exception would be Washington and Colorado for marijuana.

Cocaine is used fairly regularly in nasal procedures. I'd hate to do the paperwork involved.

1.3 million total from all those pills and the 40,000 roxi 30s account for 1.2 million of that

Insane.

Can't exactly write an rx for it though. Pretty sure DEA would be calling to check out WTF I was up to. I wrote an rx for human growth hormone at the request of the genetics dept at Children's Hospital in LR to save the pt a trip. After the DEA visited our office and pharmacy about that one rx, we decided they could just go to LR and get the meds there.
