Maybe at some point it was. But it looks like almost everything has been gutted. I don't know if you seen something post-abatement, but that's about what it looks like.

that's an easy fix, probably not being used because of bureaucracy

They’d say, “too much jerking off went on in here”.

Man, I’d love to rummage and explore all throughout that stadium.

Creepy as frick. Used to work for the sport shop in college and we used those for storage. Had keys and free run of the place.

Went into one room and it was filled with empty 40s and gay porn mags. I sprinted out of there haha

With an arm load of mags, right? AntiqueTiger wants to get in contact with you.

The creepiest part is that the halls are curved (obviously) so if you started walking you could only see like 15 ft behind and it felt like it went on forever.

In the 90's we used to sneak in the stadium in the middle of the night and explore. It was like traveling back in a time machine. Most of the rooms had been untouched since their last occupant. Old bills in desk drawers, etc. It was great.

In the 90's I think they were art studios for grad students doing their MFAs.
Some of the rooms were repurposed for departmental storage. You'd open door after after door that were empty and then come to one crammed full with new boxes. One we found was full of chemistry glassware stuff. Many a waterpipe was invented/constructed on that night.

Yeah, the asbestos deal is such a cop out. Countless buildings with just as bad if not worse issues in that regard have been remediated and put back into commerce.

The athletic dept had a whole section for storage in the 1990s. They took me in that corridor to get a letterman jacket. Each room had a sign on the door denoting the item & sizes in that room. Same for all of the football gear. Rooms full of gloves, cleats, pads, etc.

had a summer job while at LSU removing asbestos from the VA hospital in Shreveport, 14 floors, was sort of cross shaped, like four wings, every hallway, every room, they never missed a beat

I snuck in there in the early 00’s. A was walking to my car after battle of the bands at the Greek theater and noticed a door was ajar on the outside of the stadium. It was a stairwell. I went up and entered a hallway. It was super dark and creepy. I didn’t get very far before I turned back around and left. I was by myself with no flashlight. Wish I would have poked around more.

I was there when the stadium was undergoing one of the first year's-long renovations in the early 90's. There was guaranteed to be an open door or gap in a fence somewhere, always. We even played football on the field at 2am some nights. In a box somewhere I still have one of the "No One Allowed On Field" signs from the waist-high fence around the field.
