So I'm talking to a buddy at work today and he some how finds out his wife's (will get pics if I can) new pass code to her phone is her bosses birthday. He's all upset and I tell him maybe she needs a way to remember it to access files at work. He doesn't buy it. What does the OT think.

Who knows their boss’s birthday?

Better yet, who knows their wife’s boss’s birthday?

Is she responsible for remembering the boss’s birthday?

Like for office stuff - cake, surprise gift, office party, etc. some bosses are jerks and they pretend they don’t want a big deal made over them, but they really do. Your friend’s wife might have to even plan his personal stuff.

If not, sorry for your friend

Seems like she'd just mark it down on her calendar. I don't have a good feeling about this one. The hairs on the back of my neck are standing on end.

Ruling: cut bait tonight.

Oh I know. I share those sentiments, but in all honesty, I'm afraid that's a pretty bad sign. Of all possible pass codes, ya know?

But how does he know his wife’s boss’s birthday?

If she told him, then she’s being honest

Agree. My wife is still
Fricking me multiple times a week. Her passcode is either my birthday or our engagement date

That's a good point, and I'd be curious to learn how the conversation arose to begin with. But if I had to come up with an answer to that, I'm thinking of my own situation in this regard....my wife and I naturally know what any of our pass codes would be. I may not know exactly what the pass code is for a particular account or device, but once she told me it would immediately be familiar. He may have had to unlock her phone and realized it wasn't one of their "usual" codes, thus perhaps she was forced into a position to explain.

A random passcode suddenly appearing for something as engrained in your everyday life as one's cell phone would immediately be a red flag for me. I say red flag....perhaps "cause for inquiry" is a better way to say it. But I will acknowledge that my particular choice of career forces me to think constantly about the more sinister and negative aspects of peoples' lives.....so maybe I could stand to be a little less skeptical and cynical.

But this still stinks to me, just gut feeling.

Well now you got me curious. So I ask my buddy this morning how the hell he knows the birthday for his wife's boss. He said she told him when he asked what the new pass code was about. Well I guess a plus for honesty but when he questioned her why she chose that she had bo answer. Seems a bit odd now.

How did he know his wife had a new passcode? Does he regularly pick up her phone to check it?

What line of work is your friend and friend’s wife in? Who is better looking, the boss or your friend? This all sounds trashy in my opinion.
