Is the ability to be sitting in a chair in a room across the house from the thermostat, realizing you feel a little warm, and adjusting your thermostat from your phone to lower the temp one of the greatest innovations of our time?
I vote yes.

By a thermostat that has an app that allows you to control it.

Even better is you can control the temp on the way home from wherever. Like on your way home from a trip.
We have the Nest for both upstairs and downstairs. Love it

I got it so I could stop getting up in the middle of the night to change the thermostat if it was too hot or too cold. Now I can tell Alexa to do it flawlessly without moving an inch.

It is. But it’s better than walking up to the 3rd floor to turn on a/c. Plus it has automatic settings that you can input a schedule to heat/cool. An autodetect system to turn off a/c when you leave the house. And it’s nice to turn down the a/c when you land after a vacation so the house it cool when you walk in.

I don’t really change the setting on my thermostat setting much unless I am going on an extended trip or something like that. I do travel a lot for work, and would however, like to be able to check up on the temperature remotely
