Not afraid of heights. Love roller coasters. Fly regularly for work. But, put me on a ferris wheel, and I get the heebie jeebies. Something about time to think about small bolts and rust, I think.

Pour spiders all over me, no issue. Put rats in my shirt, no problem. Roaches, insects, frogs, etc. etc. But, let a snake slither by and I start sweating...unless I have a shovel in my hands.

And hairy women.

I would really hate for someone who didn't "get" TD to discover my username and read my posts.

This.

No issues with heights at all, but I fonking hate ferris wheels. I hadn't been on one in years, and I decided to get on the big assed ferris wheel in downtown Atlanta with my kids on my birthday last April.

I was freaking out inside, but I couldn't let it show with my kids with me. That stupid fricking thing kept stopping for long periods of time whenever we reached the peak. Fonk that!

I had a major bridge phobia several years ago. I'm not afraid of heights. It was more like a fear of having a panic attack while driving on the bridge. My arms would go numb & I'd get super dizzy. It's apparently a real phobia. Very inconvenient when I needed to go across the river. I'd go far out of my way to take the ferry instead. I got on anxiety meds for awhile, and it helped. I'm fine now, and cross it everyday.

Vomiting and coins. I fear my children or I getting sick with a stomach bug constantly. And I can't stand the smell of metal on my hands.

At age 63, I'm ... well, not exactly fearful but increasingly cognizant about the possibility of outliving myself.

This happened to my poor mother and father, and I will not go the same route if I have any ability at all to avoid it.

No useless years of incapacitation for me, thanks. It's simply good sense to be a bit vigilant about this matter as one ages.

Evil Little Thing, I have a bridge phobia too. Had a major panic attack on a huge bridge a few years back. Had the overwhelming urge to stop dead in the middle lane, put it in park and cover my eyes....sweating, dizzy, heart pounding panic, thought I would pass out.

Yes!! Exactly that feeling. I can't even explain WHY. I wasn't afraid of the bridge falling, or anything like that. But I had a panic attack like that once, and then it went into phobia status, afraid I'd have a panic attack on the bridge & lose control.

Yeah, don't like driving over bridges and overpasses. Don't mind standing on the side of a mountain, but anything man made gives me the creeps.
