Praying for him & his family. My grandmother on my dad’s side had it & my grandmother on my mother’s side had dementia. Both are horrible diseases and really hard on the family.

I am not finished with the series yet but each morning I watch an episode of "In the Woods with Phil" on BlazeTV. If you are a fan of Phil, this is a must watch. I really enjoy it. It was filmed from 2017 to 2021. I believe it's 800 episodes, but they are approximate 10 minute pops.

I watched my grandfather go through it. Probably the hardest thing Ive ever experienced. The toughest SOB I ever knew. Played football for the naval academy and the Lions back when they wore leather helmets. He was one of the first people to wear a face mask and he said when people tried to grab it he would try to break their arm. Different times for sure.

Praying that his health be restored but either way, it will wind up “Happy Happy Happy” for Phil in the end.

I lost a cousin to Alzheimer’s years ago. He was 37. His decline was one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen. The pain his wife and kids went through was incredible.

Jeezus, I guess as terrible as the disease is, it's good it usually only affects old people without dependants. Your story is horrifying.
Though I do seem to remember an article I read of some small isolated community that for some genetic reason, were/are getting the disease in thier 40s. I think it was in South America but could've been Asia too.

Horrible news. My mom suffers with dementia, and I know how debilitating it is for her, and Alzheimer’s is worse and significantly more degenerative.
I thank God that Phil and his family have such a close relationship with Jesus though. I’ll be praying for Phil, as well as that dear family.

I am so incredibly sorry to hear this. I have watched two people I am close to go down the cognitive decline road and am aware a third person will some day. It is very sad and hard to watch. Now that I know what to expect it is also hard to manage other family members that want the patient to "get better" which is impossible.
I also admire Phil for pulling out of a tailspin in life and taking care of his family, and for being so pro-family and pro-faith. Not only did he stick to his convictions in a time they were unpopular, but he was able to do so in a manner that didn't ruffle enough feathers to become a target of cancellation. Diplomacy is a lost art some days.
