God that was a stupid article.
But I do agree completely with one paragraph on the monument issue.

It ought to be said that neither side is particularly angelic, either with respect to the monument fight or the Sterling matter. Last night the preservationists who could easily have found themselves at an Alamo-style disadvantage didn’t do themselves too many favors; while they weren’t the aggressors in the hostilities that took place at the Jefferson Davis monument, brandishing a bunch of confederate flags to go with Mississippi and Alabama accents as they did was stupid. The persuasive case for preserving the statues to Davis, P.G.T. Beauregard and Robert E. Lee isn’t made with a confederate flag, as those three figures offered more than just four years of rebellion against the Lincoln administration. Davis, Beauregard and Lee are figures of American history, and as such the people resisting the bowdlerization of their statues ought to have been flying American flags.

1968 was VERY bad. Pretty sure that was less than 100 years ago.

Wow can't believe the Hayride didn't have more info than all our local government, schools and police/fire dept. You'd think if OT was posting it it would be solid

And this is the problem with the entire situation. It's built on hearsay of hearsay of hearsay.
There were no FBI agents going to local schools, at least not for this.

What happened in New Orleans?
There was a protest of less than 100 and a total of four arrests for disturbing the peace. You know, definitely something DOJ would push a press conference (which they never announced) for.
Derp.

Traffic jam. Not related to protests.

I'm starting to think the Hayride might be completely full of shite.
Every motherfricker with a website thinks they can be some kind of news source.
I like how their "About" section says:
"Our work has been referenced by such national sites as Big Government, The American Spectator, Michelle Malkin, Hot Air, RedState and Townhall.com, among others."
So - other fake news websites that pull shite out of their arse? Got it.

Yeah, not sure how anyone can be "starting" to think they are full of shite. They made up a news story to drum up publicity. That should be a dagger through the heart in the news industry
