I've wanted to pose this question to you for a while. Do you think there are "leaders" in the black community on the national/regional/state/city levels that have something to gain (money/political power) by encouraging the outrage/stoking the fire in places where these incidents happen?
It seems as though, when you have these "uprisings," for a lack of a better term, surrounding HIGHLY questionable events, like Alton Sterling and Michael Brown, the "movement" seems completely disingenuous. Whereas, the shooting that took place in South Carolina, where the guy was shot in the back running away from the officer, THAT is an incident to protest about.

It's not likely happening tomorrow. I don't know what The Hayride is but my gut tells me they are FOS.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to wake up and the Nat'l Guard would already be positioned at major intersections and key areas? Everyone expects trouble, then boom - it's like they took away the punch before the party even started.

Football Scoop mentioned that the Cajun Navy had been tipped off as well as being a target now that they are on dry land.

It's a shame that someone in the act of committing several felonies is polorizing Baton Rouge.
I pray level heads prevail and this all ends peacefully.

I really don't think much is going to happen.
BRPD isn't about to put up with this shite. If the Natl. guard has actually been called to active duty for this, that mayor won't be able to do much.
I actually think she wants chaos throughout all of this. Nothing's she done has suggested otherwise.

This alone should let people know that it's fake news and nothing but a rumor

WAFB said no release today.

Today was a big "pump fake".
The out of towners that are only looking to cause violence bit. Hopefully they won't be around when the DOJ releases the findings of their investigation.

If the DOJ actually pulled off this head fake and fooled the rioters, I'd be very impressed.

Good. I've got business right around BRPD down there today and didn't want to get caught in all of that
Posted on 5/2/17 at 5:59 am to TigersSEC2010
Nah,
This is a double reverse, no look, pump fake.
Decision will be made public later today.

Again, I would love to see the decision delayed by several weeks.
But with the rumor of today being the day, can you imagine the out cry by the black community if it isn't against the Trump administration?
I think it would only add fuel to the fire and give them more reason to be destructive.

They were going to blame Trump and be destructive anyway. I don't think many of them actually have any true rational thoughts that determine the appropriate reaction. They just get pissed off when told.

WAFB saying Governor's office and Sterling family haven't been contacted which is typical in these cases prior to announcements
Posted on 5/2/17 at 6:06 am to TigersSEC2010
Yep.
Gotta do it today. No point in delaying the inevitable.

The governor's office won't say anything regardless.
The Sterling family may be cooperating and going along with it. They've already gotten paid. At this point they likely don't give a frick.
