Ya boy is going HAM on his Bible quote he plagiarized.

quote:
Do Good & Seek Justice. That must be our mission. Good is to change the status quo. Good is to build transformative policies. Good is to be equitable with the distribution of our resources. Justice comes in more than one form. Justice requires that we are right. It requires that our cause is righteous. It requires that we make life better for those harmed not worse. The work of today and forever is to Do Good and Seek Justice.

I particularly like his use of ms paint to change his cover photo to give proper citation.
Glad he is no longer representing the words of major prophet in the Bible as his own

I'm Catholic, so of course my knowledge of exact scripture quotes is suspect. But since Gary referenced Isaiah Chapter 1, I think his interpretation of the "Do good, seek justice" is misguided.

I member. I really feel bad for you fellers in BR. It is absolutely a no win situation for the good and honest people there. They gonna thug, no matter!

how hard would it be for someone here who blogs or does podcasts to get gary on and explore his background/motives for being in BR?

I have black friends(no really!) and some have indicated they'd be fine with just one of the officers being charged.
Which one has a prior incident of excessive forces? I believe it's that one.
So , just wondering. What if it comes back with a lesser charge than murder for one and nothing for the other?
Can everyone just go back to work and shite?
ETA: Dont' downvote meeee! It's a hypothetical based on some educated decent black folks I'm IRL friends with who don't expect a witchunt of the BRPD when something like this happens.
I personally think it was justified and should be non-issue Tuesday. I support peaceful protests and community leaders meet again with BRPD and city leadership to hammer out all the body-camera budgets and the changes and stuff they want to implement to get the 'whole story' when future incidents occur.

Apparently his interpretation of that passage is to make people hate each other so he can swoop in and make bank. Dude is a scumbag.

Wow! Who gives a damn what they would be good with? I certainly dont. It's not up to the "blacks" to decide what happens. It's up to the DOJ and the judicial system.
I agree with you. I was just thinking what if that happens. agg assault or something for whichever officer pulled the trigger.
Just speculating killing time till we get the official news.

Yeah, the fact that people are demanding a sacrificial lamb is disgusting

What is his background? He always talks about being from NBR but his page shows he graduated from some high school in Jacksonville, FL. Is he a transplant? How long has he been living in BR?

I rewatched the video several times yesterday. If that first shot that went off was from AS, then this case is completely closed.

Wait. I thought it was clear. Wasn't one of the officers already on record with an excessive force? I gathered that they felt he should be charged with something since he's done it before. Again I'm just observing that conversation.
It does sound like a sacrificial lamb of compromise.
I'm just wondering. I don't think the DOJ or BRPD owe anyone shite except a fair assessment and decision according to police protocols.

Those are the questions we need answers to. Would be interesting to see if he moved here post-Trayvons, etc. when all of this shite started to gear up.

will the DOJ give an explanation of why the officers weren't charged?
not that it will make a difference with the uneducated black folks
