I like how when the death toll took off for CV, somehow the flu retroactively became more deadly to help the “muh flu” folks rationalize it out.
On average, flu kills around 34,500 people a year, sending 388k to the hospital by infecting 25.5 million.
You also stack the deck math wise by cutting back the days affected: flu doesn’t start from a index case during flu season. It’s already here, it just spreads at a sustainable and growing rate in the 8 months as be opposed to constant widespread s clusters from the Southern Hemisphere.
Not a apples to apples comparison to group it with corona which is exponentially growing and spreading because it’s not already there.
Amd anyway, you think all of the math you can come up with overwrites what happened in Italy? Spain? Do New York hospitals have to resort to trash bag downs for PPE?
You can talk till you are blue in the face about “muh old people,” “muh smoker,” “muh preexisting conditions” but it’s doesn’t change the fact that the shite that’s happening simply doesn’t in a regular flu season in spite of the same old people, smokers, and conditions being there too.

You seem a bit hysterical. Maybe a message board isn’t the right place for you at this time.
However, this is what Iam seeing as part of this hoax. Harris County issued an order that only “essential” workers be allowed to work. Here are some of the businesses that are considered “essential” meaning you can go to work. Anyone doing anything in the oilfield. This means anyone and everyone from drilling companies and oil companies all the way down to a small company that makes a fitting on a rig somewhere. I’m in the oilfield so it is good for us.
Other “essential” businesses in Harris County.
Anyone and everyone that makes and sells food.. either wholesale or direct to consumers.
All restaurants for takeout.
All fast food for takeaway.
Bakeries
All cleaners. Yes, cleaners are essential somehow
Gold trading companies
Real Estate agents
And the list goes on and on and on.... restrictions aren’t matching up with the level of “seriousness” you describe

Our society is too mobile. The only way that you will never be exposed to it, is if you live the rest of your life in a bubble suit. Doesn't matter how long you are locked up. If you are not exposed now, you will be in Sept, or Nov. COVID is a novel (meaning new) virus so there is no treatment, no knowledge base, and no vaccine anytime soon. Your body will reject it, be consumed by it, or develop an immunity to it.
Case in point Spanish flu: Started in early 1918 and the world panicked and shut down. Another wave came in Sept, and the final most deadly wave came in Nov. And yet not one single person has contracted it since. Even though the exact same virus is still detected in pigs, 100 years later.
SARS, same thing. Once the initial infection ran its course, not one single person has died from it in 16 years. And there is still not a vaccine, yet no more cases

yeah that's exactly what I noticed. 80k flu deaths a year as the norm
