This is good advice. If you have health insurance, and haven't been to the doctor in years; you should get some blood work done. If nothing else, it helps get a baseline for future appointments.
Proper diet, exercise, sunshine, hydration, goes a long way to getting back to normal. You'd be amazed at how many problems are just living like a modern hermit.
