I've been on a small plane once where we just circled around the city. I've never actually flown to another place. The last time I left the state was 11 years ago and that was just for a weekend in Houston.
Wow that's impressive

There are probably tons of people in poverty in br and Nola who have never left the city before
yeah this is very common with poor urban people, mostly because they don't have a vehicle
one of my best friends worked with teenagers in poverty in Seattle and he said the vast majority of them had never left the city and probably never would

I figured you for a frequent flyer William. I have flown a few times. I love everything about it except I don't have any control. And since 9/11 I just can't see myself on an airplane. I just can't see someone never leaving their birth state but I bet it's a lot more common that most would think.

I've got an uncle that has never flown, and has never been farther West than Houston.

I have two cousins that are driving to Green Bay for the LSU game because they have never flown and will not.

My parents had never flown till they were in their 50s, then they flew to Alaska for a trip, and my Dad says he will never fly again
He was not a fan

My parents first time on an airplane was when I graduated bootcamp. They were both in their mid-40's.

Work with a guy. Me and him were driving to Houston. He got from galliano to laffy and told me it was the farthest he's ever driven behind the wheel.

My wife has never been on an airplane. We take long road car trips. I will get her on an airplane one day.

It was a week long trip with a high school class. furthest west I've ever been is Austin. Other than the gulf coast states, I've only been to Arkansas once, and Maryland once. I have only went north of Alexandria once in my life, not counting flying to Maryland.

I know a janitor that works at a bar and has never left Philly.

I grew up in Michigan and only left the state once before moving to Louisiana after high school. Never been a traveler though, if I can get to the beach along the gulf coast once every couple years I am good.

Hell what about people who have never left their birth state.
We used to call them "goat people". They had never been outside of their pen.

My brother in law has never flown and he's 40. His wife has. He just refuses to. He's not a weird cultist or anything either; he's a high school science teacher who is otherwise totally rational and not superstitious. I think it has to do with his diabetus. Not the kind you get from being fat - the kind you are born with. Apparently when he was prone to flipping out and having to be restrained and hospitalized when his blood sugar bottomed out when he was a kid. He probably just doesn't like the idea of being stuck in an aluminum tube in the sky if his diabetus acts up. Which I can sympathize with.
