Their “true” selves had blonde, brown, black, or red hair

Their true selves had no tattoos

What they are really saying is that “hate” their true selves and are trying to escape to a fantasy world of fairy dust and unicorn farts

Why did you put true and quotations? Did realize you put hate in quotes too. Why’d you do that?

What if their true hair color went gray and they tried to dye it which then caused their hair to look purple?

My wife (no pics,) added some purple to her hair, it’s not the Emo/hipster shade, it looks pretty cool, can’t really see it until the light hits it

It’s just a type of uniform/costume to signal to others how they identify.

It’s like the goths or the urban culture people from high school.

Personally I think it’s similar to animals in nature who are venomous/poisonous often being brightly colored to warn other animals. Helps to know who to be wary of.

This is a pretty bitchy thread.

This is something I'd expect from tBoat.

Its like the kid who's got an "I'm a non conformist" t'shirt because everyone else is wearing them.

An ex girlfriend of mine is a progtard now. Hacked all her hair off dyed it green. frickin nose ring and covered with shitty tattoos. Went to private school her whole life and grew up in the nicest neighborhood in Pensacola. Never wanted for anything. I just don't understand it.

People on this board care WAY too much about what other people wear and look like, especially when it has zero effect on them.

What about folks who dye their hair a color that’s acceptable to you because they’re going grey? Is that okay with you? After all, “grey” would be their “true” selves. Your spouse doesn’t color her hair? Or is it purple in particular that offends you?

Regardless, weird post.

What about all of the animals who aren’t venomous or poisonous but have adapted similar patterns and colors of the poisonous/venomous animals?

It’s like those love is love signs with a lgbt rainbow background. If love is love then man is man and woman is woman. The hypocrisy is endless with progressives.

These are the type of kids who usually stay in suspended adolescence longer than normal.

And then, get this:

they all like to express how original and different they are, by looking exactly like everybody else that feels the way they do.

fricking losers

Highlighted the important part.

Generally, people need something to strive toward. Whether it's having to work to earn enough to pay rent, finding a constructive hobby, etc. we have a drive for accomplishing things. We also need time to think, contemplate and understand ourselves and the world around us. This means we need a balance in our lives, people like her seem to be missing that balance. Not having to really push herself to achieve things of importance (or even having something important to work toward) can often create an imbalance which can leave a person feeling restless, like they need to "find themselves".

Going with drastic, superficial changes in appearance occupies their time while making them feel they've accomplished something. They will literally feel (temporarily) like they have a different view on life when all they've really done is change their hair color. The real change their wanting comes from within (that sense of balance I mentioned earlier) but instead they focus on the outer appearance. Such outward expressions can have many different origin points, but those points are almost always some dissatisfaction with themselves or something in their life.
