I don't give a shite if it's easier for you to leave if you are holding up the process of me arriving.

It's a waste of time for other people trying to park.

And it's the other person's fault you didn't leave on time?

Entitled and stupid is no way to go through life, son.

why does this bother you, it's a safety precaution

bullshite. It's not reinforced during driver's ed so why is it all of a sudden such a safety precaution?

Yes, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter nearly as much. It's more important to not be delayed while arriving as opposed to while leaving. Not everyone is racing off to pick up their kids after work.

It's not the act itself. It's women trying to do it that have no business doing it.

I will admit that it was a female driver that caused me to have to vent about this in the first place.

Well, that's clearly not what I said.

But I would say a slight majority of the black folks do it and a vast minority of the white folks.

Its interesting. I have brought it up with my boss who is a black lady and she laughed and now points it out to me. Its not racist, just a funny observation.

ETA:

And I don't get why the OP cares about this. Seems bizarre.

No, but they are being inconsiderate to the possibility that others don't have time to sit idly by while they take nearly a minute to back into a space.

Sometimes you leave on time but unforeseen problems arise pertaining to traffic, accidents, construction, road closures, etc., and you therefore have no time to spare.

Agree it is annoying when people block traffic doing this. However I also chuckle when I pull around them, park, get out, and am half way to wherever I'm going while they waste time trying to get situated backwards.

I have no problem with people parking how they like. That said it sure seems like to overwhelming majority of people who back in are not very freaking good at it. Why get mad at something so trivial though?

if you are driving a damn SUV, sedan, or pickup, and are trying to back into a spot in a parking lot with, at minimum, 50 available parking spots (the majority of which have no vehicles next to them) and thereby block other vehicles seeking to go around you

You have to back up either coming or going. The problem here is that the driver isn't skilled at this maneuver and needs the extra space or time. It's actually safer to back into the spot so you can have extra visibility when you leave.
