Why would any grownup have to lay back 6 inches? It doesn’t make a difference.

I recline every time. I paid for it so screw the person who is seating behind me. He can recline too if he doesn't want to be that close.

Scruffy paid for that seat.

Also, at baseline, those seats pretty much lean forward.

Quit being a bitch.

each seat is designed to occupy a certain amount of space, that includes the space from the reclined seat in from you to the back of your reclined seat. that's the way they're built. to suggest that your seat should not occupy all of the space allotted to it is insupportable with facts. feels are just that

I was thinking this as well.

Anyone who says they recline their seat is a below average size man 5’9 or less.

If they had any height, they wouldn’t bc they know how it feels to have hard plastic pushed into their knees.

If someone leans back on me, my 6’5” knees are pushing back with force on the back of their seat entire trip.

Then fly first class or drive.

I’m not going to sit vertically and uncomfortably because you are tall.

That’s a you problem.

My gripe on reclining seats is if my drink is on the tray. But it isn't like I'm sipping on it for a couple hours.

if this bothers you, you have issues. It is way more comfortable just reclining a few inches. Doesn't bother me in the least if the person in front of me does it. As long as the option to recline is there, i'm using it.

Grow a pair of nuts.

This is how I feel. I used to care and used to be "considerate" but then I started flying a lot longer distances on a lot better airlines where the seat sort of slides so it's not a huge difference for the person behind me. And it is more comfortable on a 12 hr flight.

The generally accepted rule of etiquette is that anything under 2 hours and you shouldn't recline.

on what page of Miss Manners would you find that rule? your rule must have been implemented after my 8 years in the travel industry.

Average height for American males is 5'9". Buy a premium seat if you don't like seat backs crushing your fragile little knees.

It's like being at a football game. If everybody else stands up, you have to stand up to watch too. so, lean back dude; everyone else will too.
