have fun with your future green-haired antifa member then I guess
So you are equating me purchasing a swing to allow baby and parent to sleep to giving your child a phone because you don’t want to interact with them?

shocking isn't it? My parents did the same. With 4 kids. We never had phones, never took toys anywhere, and never had to be "entertained". We fricking sat there and behaved. When the food came, we ate. Revolutionary, isn't it?
Just because your childhood sucked doesn't mean I'm going to let my kids' childhoods suck to make you feel better about it.

There’s a difference between what you’re describing and the parents that sit down and immediately dole out the iPads.
Mine has never used one at a restaurant; if he acted up, which was rare, we’d take him outside til he calmed down.

you're equating giving a kid a phone with the parent not wanting to interact with them
you don't know anything about them or their habits, you're going off of a snippet of time and making wild assumptions because it's not what you would choose (or think you would choose)

You can’t talk with a 14 month old you dense idiot.
Just letting you in on a little secret: you can definitely talk with a 14-month old. It might not be the same as having a full on conversation with an adult, but they do understand you and can communicate at that age. If not, there's a problem.

I think we’re telling you that making assumptions makes you look like a dumbass.
You can be a good parent and also allow phones at restaurants sometimes.

So when I said talk, what did you think that meant?

I lived it. Sorry you lack the parenting skills of previous generations. Continue to make excuses and rationalize you and your kids shitty behavior.
Sell yourself on whatever fantasy you need to. Kids act like kids no matter how much you lie about it. My kids aren't shitty, but they don't act like adults. Mind blowing stuff.

Again, you can call me whatever makes you feel better. You choosing to give your child a phone rather than interact with them is lazy and selfish.

100% agree as a parent of two boys 3 and 5 years old. I know I shouldn't be, but I'm surprised by the amount of posters in here who seem to do this themselves with the "wait until you have kids" comments.
I used to be a manager at a restaurant. Toddlers simply are not good in restaurants, unless distracted. Whether that be phones, toys, etc, you can’t go out to eat with any consistency with kids without bringing a distraction item
For some reason people think letting kittle Johnny color all over himself or roll his toy car over the table is more “parenting” than watching a phone

No way man, toddlers are just little adults that behave perfectly at all times. Ask any baw here.

We had parents that refused to let their kids have toys of any kind at 3. Those kids made everyone’s experience miserable or the parents left early

Weird right? When I was a kid, we were not allowed distractions. It was considered rude. And yet we were well mannered and respectful.
I guess previous generations never took their kids out ever.

Did your parents ever take you out? Or were you left at home?
