You can call me whatever makes you feel better. Get all the anger out. At the end of the day, you giving that child a cellphone does not benefit them, and is only for your benefit. It is a selfish act if there ever was one.

Right. I spend tons of time with my kids. Nothing else gives me more gratification in life. We go fishing frequently, I play with him in the yard or with his toys in the house daily, we boil crawfish together, go to parks, etc... But somehow handing them a TV show at a restaurant or for 30m in the afternoon is some sort of indication that I'm some lazy, lesser parent people are full of shite.

OP has likely been a parent for less than a year, probably hasn't even had to baby proof the house yet, and thinks he has it all figured out. I love the delusion.

He has no idea that it will literally never be easier than it is right now for him.

I agree op it’s trashy and obnoxious. You suck at parenting of your child can’t sit through a meal without being glued to a device and there is no reason it should be loud enough to hear at my table.

Pray tell, what form of entertainment do you deem acceptable for your all-star children?

It’s not about your child being better/smarter. It’s about caring about them enough to hear their dumbass opinions on things that you give no fricks about. Because that’s being a parent.

You still haven't intelligently explained how giving my kids a phone sometimes at restaurants = I don't want kids. You are making some awfully stupid assumptions, i'll grant you that. Go ahead, try again, in the meantime i'll say.

You don’t give that child the phone/tablet for their benefit.

I don't? It's no different than colors or toys. Are those not beneficial to children?

It also benefits YOU, the other patron, because they are quiet and not distracting your high minded conversations with your imaginary children.

You may as well just have had an abortion if you really didn't want your children so much that you give them screen time in a restaurant. Perfectly reasonable statement

Never said you didn’t want to have kids, rather you never wanted to be a parent. Anyone can make a baby, it takes a man to raise that baby.

Not really I have managed to raise three perfectly fine without letting them ruin other people restaurant experience.

That escalated pretty quickly for a sarcastic joke of a statement right there

Giving your child a phone rather than interacting with them isn’t being a parent.

I really hope you remember to revisit this thread when your child actually requires some work.

Ok, i'll ask again, please list the steps you go from "giving kid phone at restaurant" to "you hate being a parent".

That's such a ridiculous assumption.
