They laugh at the passion and emotion from pulling for a team, yet they themselves will get passionate about their hunting lease and setting up feeders with cameras, etc. They'll spend every single weekend of the year fixing up their camp, yet will laugh at you for going to games once a week in the fall.

Like all last weekend when I should have been hunting, but watching football instead, all these Facebook posts of rattlesnakes that were killed near their stands. It was almost like, ‘while you lazy bastards sit around watching meaningless sports, I was out doing stuff like almost getting killed by a huge rattlesnake while sitting in a treehouse waiting on the sun to come up’.

I love hunting and football, but I’m way more vested financially in football, which is a little silly I guess. But no more sillier than what my friends pay for Glasscock leases.

Look you gotta do something, so I guess I’m ok with it. But folks that don’t do either (I.e., my father-in-law) are the ones I’m suspect on.

I love sports but don't follow them like I used to

I couldn't name more than 10 MLB players. I don't say this with the attitude the OP is talking about. I'm just not interested in baseball anymore. Used to be.

Don't watch the NBA. Same deal.

I watch NHL playoffs.

I still follow football, but I don't watch the NFL other than Red Zone. The number of commercials are painful.

Even college football is getting rough to watch. I was at the LSU-UGA game and the tv timeouts are long and frequent. Messes up the flow of the game for me.

The emphasis on offense, via rules, is getting too much. Fine if the offense is that good, but DBs don't get a fair shot, especially in the NFL. Receivers get away with so much.

And don't get me started on targeting.

I had the best Sunday in a really long time working on a fire pit in the yard yesterday and not watching football.
