People who drive with no situational awareness

You've seen the people who drive sitting straight up stiff as a board, hands at 10/2, head over the steering wheel damn near the windshield. The speed limit is 65 but they drive 55 no matter what. They are so focused on driving it makes it unsafe as they don't have any awareness on what is going on around them, they just have their eyes down the road. What's the deal with these people? Do they think they are trying to be ultra safe drivers?

Unlike 99% of other drivers they probably know how to correctly adjust their side and rear view mirrors, and have full situational awareness without having to swivel their head 90 degrees.

These are the same people who have no idea they’re holding up traffic by driving in the left lanes, force people to pass them on the right because they have no idea anyone is behind them, and won’t turn left on green without a turn signal.
Infuriating.

You sound like my wife. She had no concept of a blind spot. Was actually scary when she informed me that she "didn't need to turn her head like me, she knew how to use her mirrors". When we bought her next car, blind spot monitors were a must....

And they drive around like they have an big arse mug of hot coffee sitting on the dash board and are afraid it will spill. Seriously, accelerate at a reasonable pace and GTFO the road when you're turning.
