No you don't

If you did, you would understand questioning science is part of science.

"Girl power" is dumb. People who let our world melt down over COVID, are dumb. Downvotes can rain down.

I know somebody that got sick from going to a party on July 4th. Older dude, upper 50's, works a lot outdoors.

Started as a mild cold, after a couple days was really shitty, like a bad case of the flu. He heard someone at the party tested positive (I don't know why the initial person bothered to test), so he did, and HE was positive.

And, it kicked his arse for about 2 weeks. Now, I will say, he didn't take any special medicines (even cold & flu stuff), just took Ibuprofen. I seem to remember that being a no-no with covid, and sure enough he got worse, to the point that he was getting vertigo laying down and was hoarse. I dropped off some meclizine and extra-strength cold and flu stuff, mostly decongestant and expectorant (I hear the vertigo comes from heavy congestion that fricks with the inner ear canals). In a couple days of that, he was back on his feet, and fine within a week.

I wasn't scared to swing by his house to deliver groceries and medicine while he was sick.

The big thing to remember, it CAN be a pretty bad cold, on par with a bad case of the flu. Ain't no reason not to treat it (with OTC meds). But it's not going to cause the zombie apocalypse.

I see people wearing masks, even sometimes alone in their car.

One benefit- I admit I noticed a difference cutting the grass

I've always had bad allergy flareups, blowing snot everywhere certain times of the year. I had a couple old masks in the car (came out of my scrub pockets from work), decided to wear one cutting the yard. It will catch most of the junk that you'd get from "normal" times, and during this heat wave/drought will screen out a lot of the dust.

I would just use the normal surgical masks (or a bandanna); I figure an N95 in this heat might filter better, but you'd likely die in the heat.

Wife & I made the decision in March or April 2020 to refuse any Covid vaccine and to never let our kids get it even if she had to go back to her teaching roots to homeschool. Turns out I was the only one who had their job threatened over it, but I stuck to my guns and told the owner of the company I worked for to be ready to litigate if he pushed further. Nothing happened and it all blew over.

Now it’s like nothing ever happened and I was proven to have made the right call even in the face of having my job called into question. Now I don’t have to wonder what the unstudied long term ramifications of the shot are since they never tested the thing properly. Dont have to worry for my kids either. Feels good man

I wish they’d all stay home. We need to thin the crowds.

Covid is still killing elderly. Given, they have preexisting conditions and the covid makes it harder for them to recover, but it’s still causing them to die.

I guess Covid may be killing someone somewhere, but TBH I work in an ICU, have only seen a handful of Covid pts in the last several months.

All had preexisting conditions, none have died.

I can’t even remember when our last Covid pt died, it’s been that long ago.
