we adopted a 7 year old cat that was dropped off like that. we had her for only 4 years and she got a tumor we had removed, but came back super fast and she passed. it blows my mind on that sort of thing.

I'm buying land, building housing and rescuing all the animals no one wants, old, special need, etc, and spending the rest of my life loving and caring for them.
Same here. Can't wait to find the right place.

My wife isn't fully onboard with the idea, which is why I said if she passes first. Don't get me wrong, she loves our dogs, but she doesn't want 50-100 of them to care for.

Animals offer unconditional love. I wish that all pets were cared for and loved by their owners.

The most common line by cat owners is "my cat thinks she is a dog" or some iteration of that
Cats are smarter than dogs, dogs just have love for everyone. Cats are more in line with animals like horses. They can tell if you are anxious or scared and they don't like that.
My wife and oldest daughter are balls of anxiety and the cats won't relax around them. If me and my youngest daughter sit down we are getting a cat in our lap. We are the 2 calm ones in the house
I say this being a lover of both cats and dogs.

She's starting to get along with the crew.
Kids named her Twix.

Bless you for taking care of the cat.

That orange one looks like one of our cats, a male. We travel a lot and we have an English Bulldog a d two half inside/half outside woods cats.
My wife had me put one of those Power Pet Doors in for the two cats for when we're out of town. That orange male loves it. He's in and out probably 5-6 times throughout the night raising hell.

That's a LOT of progress! She's going to fit right in. Cute name.
