They have to get their 4 year old a cellphone because these days you can never be too careful. Or won’t let them play outside because, well, these days...

When did everything become so dangerous?

Republicans and Democrats are equally guilty in this. Governments always need bogeymen and crises that they are protecting the public from.

It's really gotten out of hand now. Americans are hung up on safety to a dangerous degree (intentional phrasing).

"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

When I was four my mother had an old lady next to us watch me. I liked to get in my back on the floor and push myself across the floor screaming and hitting my head against the wall. I gave that poor old lady a heart attack.
I didn’t need no stinking cell phone the people watching me did need a phone.

I was walking home from kindergarten with my sister and a kid pulled a butter knife on us. The next day I brought my grandfather’s mule whip and tearing that kid up.
I didn’t need a phone.

Guy at a construction site driving a van asked me and my sister to tell him what color our underwear was for a candy bar. He cheated us out of a candy bar when I told him. I got a glass coke bottle that was half broken and ripped his seat up the next day.
I didn’t need a phone.

When that scum sucking lawyer won millions after stupid little Johnny broke his scrawny fricking neck when he fell of the monkey bars acting stupid so the schools tore them down.

When that scum sucking lawyer won millions after stupid little Jimmy blew his finger off with an M-80 because he was too stupid to throw it quickly so the government outlawed them.

etc.

When the news started sharing every single bad thing that happens across the country. We are actually living in one of the safest times in history but no one wants to hear that.
