I disagree. I think a bigger problem is when two people start dating young and then go on and off again for years before getting married. Those people are at much more risk for divorce

So what motivates you to want to stay married? I'm not trying to be nosey, but I would like to be married one day and it seems like even a lot of the people I know who have gotten married, are already headed to a lawyer.
We care enough about each other to make it work. That's what it comes down to much of the time.
People giving up on their marriage early is often due to impatience or immaturity. There can be resentment involved if one or the other feels like they're a slave because they miss their single life. Marriage is extremely hard and it gets worse, sometimes rock bottom, before it smoothes out.

For an old guy like you, I'm sure they are.

Yeah definitely respect that. It's also way too easy to cheat without anyone finding out. It's much more easier to be unfaithful than I believe it ever has been before. I work with a girl that I'm pretty sure wants me other than a friend, she even buys me gifts and whatnot. I haven't reciprocated but the problem is I think she's in an actual relationship. Not too sure but I often wonder if her boyfriend or whoever knows she's always doing stuff like that for me. Who knows lol

Much truth to this.

I really like being married to my wife, however, I would probably be a lifetime bachelor if it didn't work out. I see way too many guys blowing their fortunes getting married two many times.

Rule of thumb for me was that I wasn't going to marry any woman unless I dated them for at least 5 years. I dated my wife for 7 before we got married.
