The invite lists grows exponentially when you combine your list with your parents and in laws lists. We got married in the church the prior week and it was just us and our parents. We'd have been fine with that, but the party was definitely unbelievable.

Yep. The whole wedding industry is a racket.

Venue: $10k
Band: $50k
Food: $25k

Plus photographer, videographer, etc.

At least the booze was free.

Our actual marriage at the church was next to nothing.

Oh it is when you see how poor it is. I meant the all inclusive part though. This board likes to shite all over them.

Nah, they aren't that way at all. They just spent like crazy for the wedding.

There's a local band Management group here that has one "main band" and a few others they manage. We had one of the "smaller" ones but it was still a 10 piece band and really fricking good.

My wedding was 10 years ago this week and I remember having an open bar with premium liquor was $25 per person back then. I think the food was about the same

Fun fact, one of Maroon 5's main songwriters was at my wedding because he was dating my cousin at the time.

I think most of his songs are crap... but hey, dude has more Grammy nominations than I do.
