I don't think you can just extrapolate out like that and get a real number in this case.
Fine. Then look at my other link that shows my argument. Look, it is clear people arent going to believe me in here no matter what I say

No I dont. I think a 30,000 sq ft house does

the post I replied to had a quote in it that said a 3,000 SF house cost $100,000 in upkeep per year. it was your post.

My low end conservative guess:

$10k per month for prop taxes
$8k per month for maid and lawn care (minimum)
$6k per month for utilities (minimum)
$2k per month for home owners insurance (minimum)

$300K plus per year just to run it. Throw in your tax bracket and you have to make $600k per year just to pay to run the thing.

You're getting "pushback" because your calculations partially involve speculating that a 30,000 square foot mansion needs 10 times the number of chefs a 3,000 square foot one does.

Among other things.

That actually equals 66,600. And that is just the inside house management staff mentioned in the article

Exactly. Not upkeep buddy, to fully staff the house

Maybe in New York when you throw in high taxes and nannies which is why his article is BS because a 3K sq ft house ain't costing $100K per year here or else many OT'ers are screwed.

your math of $100,000/12=$10,000 doesn't quite work out.

Yes. they sold it for alot of money. But now everyone is focused on the logistics and economics of staffing a fricking house this big rather than something relevant to BR and this purchase.

Been in the house a few times. Its worth every bit of six million. The land alone is worth a fortune if they ever wanted to tear down the house and build an exclusive development.

Ummmm, like I said that is the staff for a 3,000 sq ft house. Multiply that by 10 for a 30,000 sqft house and it would be 100k

Look, I have seen personal tax returns of rich people that have fully staffed houses over 100k.

The way your math has worked in this thread, I hope you didn't do their taxes or they might have some stuff to explain to the IRS.
