It wasn’t whites, I have a surveillance system, if they were white I’d be the first one to call them that, I know I’ll be labeled as a racist, getthenet, you probably aren’t as old as I am, so you don’t know what happened in Gentilly, part of me wishes they were white kids.

This is utterly true. Decent folk move to a place, apartments eventually follow, and the apartments eventually lead to the garbage. Then the decent folk have to pack up and move again. It’s frustrating. Apartment developers don’t care about the communities. I suppose businesses want a cheap labor pool. Section 8 (or whatever other HUD programs) make it all possible.

Yes. People moving from the south shore have pretty much ruined that area. What used to be dairy farms and free-range cattle ranches are now tract housed for transplanted "come heres." Look no further than LA 1077 (aka Turnpike Road). It's gotten depressing to go to our family's property because of this.

There may be some truth to that, but it's definitely an exaggeration.
The neighborhood around Scotty Muffler in Covington has always been black. Hay Hollow Road in Folsom is another example.
Drive up LA59, headed north, and take a left on Orleans. After the first two blocks that area has always been black.
Beyond that, it was 10+ years ago when I last lived in St. Tammany, but I'm pretty sure when my car got rifled through the perpetrators were white Mandeville High students... just a hunch based on the area and MO.
