Ruebens was a true classic and one of a kind.
as far as PW's Playhouse, I don't recall anything like that before or after.
A Saturday morning children's show written for a teeage to high school audience.
Crazy, goofy humor as the playhouse characters each had their own comedic identity.
Kinda like watching "Mr Rogers Neighborhood" stoned and on acid.
Pee Wee's Playhouse was one of the few Saturday mornings shows that if I missed it, I was bummed out.

Today's secret word ....

He had some very memorable Hollywood roles

I'm sorry I took the money

@tracilords Heavy heart ?????? He was always the kindest, funniest man in the room. His friends all knew how much he loved to celebrate them- especially their birthdays. The texts, singing messages and videos arrived all day long . They were silly and sweet and meant to show you just how much he loved you . And they did. Always and forever. I love you Paul… rest my friend #rip @peeweeherman ????????

His performance in the Blues Brothers is underrated.

I hope he and Phil Hartman are reunited and doing good comedy again in the afterlife.

Yep.

Never knew until yesterday that they were best friends and that it was Phil who created the Pee Wee character.

Weird to think a child pornographer has had it whitewashed from his memory so easily.

People forget he was charged with it, and pled down to avoid a public scandal.
