I'll usually do it at saints games. Expensive crap beer and readily available peanuts. Never did it with coke before.

Hanging out as a young kid with my grandpa all day and getting a freezing cold bottled coca cola with salted peanuts to pour in is a top 10 childhood memory. If that makes me trashy then sign me up for a mullet wig.

Done it all my life. First time I ever went thru Monroe, back when I was a kid, I was drinking (and eating) this, and I saw a little black girl with a big ole pickle with a peppermint cane stuck in it. I remember saying...thats odd...and my dad just looked at our cokes and smiled...

The payoff is knocking the coke drenched peanuts from the bottom of the bottle and eating them. It takes a bit of restraint to save them til the end.

I have put them in cokes but my favorite is to put peanuts in Barq's root beer. Been doing that regularly since I was a little kid growing up in Mississippi.
