Does anybody know what the maximum time the meters allow and how much an hour costs? I don't see that info listed anywhere.

Thanks!

it should say it somewhere on the meter

If not, $3.50 should get you 3 Hours and 50 minutes

Yeah, I've had that issue in the past.

My main question is whether or not 4 hours of roadside parking is cheaper than parking garages. I really don't know. I honestly have not used downtown parking meters on a weekday in a long time.

You are putting a lot of energy into trying to save 2 dollars.

By your response, I am assuming you know the rates. Would you be so kind to give them to me?

From what I remember, it’s 25¢ for 30 minutes, up to two hours at a time, for a maximum of four hours. So it should be $2 for the full four hours, if I remember correctly.

Where you going and how long? Those pay lots are cheap and easy now, taking a debit/credit card. 0-2 hrs was $7 on Saturday morning for the Mardi Gras Mambo. Not sure if weekday rate is less.

Otherwise, the old school Parking meters are like 6 minutes per nickle and 2 hours max.

It easier to find one that doesn't work and park for free

Thank you! So $4. That's better than a lot or garage. Hopefully I can park close.

Thanks! Your info is correct! I am near the Shaw Center. I parked very close. The meter is cheap and works, especially since I will only be here for 3.5 hours.
