Mine do the dishes, pick up their rooms and bathrooms and get their clothes to the laundry. They do the trash and get to the road.
On Saturday or Sunday they do the weed eating, edging and blowing while I mow. Takes an hour or so if all three take it on. I also have them in the beds weeding every couple months
They don’t do much but do more than their buddies.

Good heavens. That is what the staff is for.

Of course, he'll also just randomly open a bottle of anything and pour it out on the floor and then demand you get him supplies to clean it up. So there's that.

My youngest asked for a broom when she was 3, and she’s been helping me sweep since
Boys (ages 20, 19, 15 & 14) take care of most outside work, their rooms, their clothes, and the middle bathroom - and have been for years
Us girls take care of most of the other inside work - unless I need help like moving furniture to sweep/vacuum and reaching the really high up ceiling fan
If you start early - then they know they have to help - which of course is a ‘duh!’ moment - but when I run youth group at my church - plenty of kids have never been asked to clean up after themselves

My kids 17, 14, & 10 all do their own laundry. We'll fold the 10 yr old's, but he picks them up. He puts them to wash and dry though.
Girls have inside chores like cleaning, picking up dishes, etc. Son picks up dog poop and cuts grass. He's also my helping hand for any projects.
