So I'll respond to what they said the same way I responded to you. Just because they can't imagine being attracted to both sexes doesn't mean others can't be. I have a close guy friend and a close girl friend, both of which have dated and slept with guys and girls, and it's not a phase. Both of them are smart reasonable people, and it would be condescending and presumptive to just tell them they're confused, or this is temporary.

Just so I have my nutcases correct, you are the one who thinks circumcision is mutilation and parents who do it should have their sons taken from them right?

So to add to that rational belief, you think it's perfectly cool to turn your 3 year old daughter into a boy, using any means dictated to the parents by that 3 year old? Do I have all that right?

Why? You don't get to pick a gender. You are either born a woman or man (well almost always anyway).

Shitty fricking parents. Jesus Christ.

"Why did God make me like this?" Please. No 5 year old is that self-aware.

"We needed to let HIM transition as quickly as possible". Makes me want to puke.

The parents are way more fricked up than the kid. If every little girl that liked to fish, hunt, and go to football games was encouraged to "transition" the south would be full of dudes with nobody to date.

Well I'm glad these people decided that the shelf life of a phase is 1 year.

My 3 month old daughter loved to suck on female tit, so I went ahead and got her a penis.

You don't get to pick sex. Gender is who you are on the inside. Plus, what if you don't want to identify with solely female or solely male?

Why must it be a binary gender system? I sure as shite to conform to every single "female" stereotype.

Stupid shite.

My child would obviously know/be their birthed sex, but they wouldn't be forced to do something or not do something because it's "girly" or vice versa.

I can't even wrap my mind around this. These parents are nuts. And why are they putting shirtless pics of their young daughter on the Internet for the whole world to see?

For fricks sake. Don't have kids until you get this bullshite notion that would only alienate the child out of your head.

You must have missed the part where I said I do not want kids (and have said so on here for 3 years now).

Allow me to point it out, cutie.

I don't want children, but I decided long ago if I ever changed my mind, my children would be raised gender neutral. Given both "boy" and "girl" toys.. etc. Not so much dressed in dresses as a boy or anything, but very neutral clothing that works for both genders.

There you go ;)

Also.. I fail to see how dressing a child in normal clothing that can go both ways (shirts, shorts, pants) and letting them play with any toy they want alienates them. I didn't say I'd raise them as the opposite gender.

I just would never force a Tonka down my kid's face if that's not what he wanted to play with.

i dont know.

my 2 year old knows who is a boy and who is a girl.
i have no doubt she has no idea why one is a boy and one is a girl, but she knows the difference

I don't agree with that definition.

I do things that some would consider feminine. Doesn't change the fact that I am undoubtedly a man. I had a dress that I liked to wear up until about age 5, my parents didn't refer to me a transgendered. They referred to em as a kid, because kids do things like that.

quote:

Because you are either a boy or girl. That is determined by what body parts you have. It's not up for debate, at least it shouldn't be.

And there is no issue with you not conforming to "female" stereotypes. I don't know you personally, but I'm fairly certain you have a vagina. That's the only part of femininity that you need to "conform to to be female.

That's not really the same as telling your child they are transgendered at a ridiculously early age.

I will say I see now more where you are coming from, and understand your point better.
