Doubtful. As bad as this is, the same thing that allows them to get to this point will allow this entire thing to be brushed aside. Money.

this statement kind of shows why the "illuminati" conspiracy theories are tough to swallow
if these people are REALLY that powerful, they don't need to engage in this song and dance to avoid the grips of their own monster
you're basically saying that on one hand, "they" control the world but on the other hand, they're as helpless as Dr. Frankenstein as the monster they created roams without any control. it just doesn't work, unless you want to claim "they" are mad at the people who just got exposed and are either trying to get them to rejoin the group or are punishing them for not playing the game or something (and that is looney toons)

Exactly which is why I said earlier that some of the people involved are not Globalist but just rich people that were looking for a way to lessen their tax obligation like the actors and athletes involved. Different people in this will have different motives obviously but some of these people are not drug traffickers, criminals, terrorist, ect.

I'm going to be downvoted to oblivion for this but it needs to be said.
Some of y'alls cavalier response and attitude about this is disturbing. We aren't talking about a few elitist old white dudes cheating on their taxes.
Global criminals on a monumental scale are using this service. Pedophiles, sex traffickers, drug cartels; you know.....the lowest forms humanity has to offer.
Have we been dumbed down to greed and corruption so much that we don't think it's a big deal anymore? Is it a big deal? You bet your arse it is. Let any of us common folk get caught doing this kind of stuff and watch what happens. Being "uncomfortable" in an interview like the Iceland President was would be the least of your worries.
At some point, we have to hold the political and financial elite of the world accountable.

it's not being "dumbed down" as much as we acknowledge it exists and see the world in much more "real" terms
cynical is a better word...and yes, yes we are cynical

We know that it exist. Not sure why this is a big surprise to anyone. What do you want people to do? The money and power will use their money and power to move past this.

The only people who can "hold the political and financial elite of the world accountable" are the "political and financial elite of the world ." We just have to hope some of them are actually good people. Individual people, in this day and age, have absolutely no power. As this election cycle shows, the political class don't even try to hide it anymore. The actual vote doesn't even count. Power. Media. Money. That's what counts.
