Truthfully I was really stuck in a rut and reading and keeping up with this thread helped me decide to do t25, diet hard and push it. You were the main reason why too, btw thank you. I have every beachbody program and a bunch of other ones and pretty much read books every day on the subject but like all of us I was caught in a situation where I was just treading water. Lime you said the support and organization of the workouts is exactly what I needed.

Does Body Beast have a good ab routine, or core routine? Does it require free weights?

I have a gym in my home & workout alone.

Then lift in the power cage. And you should really get the greyskull lp book. Ill link it in here Tomorrow where you can download it for free. He has a lot of info in it for girls. You shoukd focus on squats, deads, bench, press and bw gymnastics type lifts and do hiit cardio like prowler pushes. Girls should lift just as heavy and as hard as guys. Unless you are putting down massive amounts of calories you will not gain that much, promise.

That's my job.

Yes. Every workout ends with an ab move. There's a dedicated 10 minute ab routine cones once a week. It's more about building mass than abs though. You can still burn a good bit of fat from all the weight lifting though.

Yes, it requires a good bit of equipment. You need a lot of dumbbells. I was using 100's for some moves. You also need an EZ bar with plates, weight bench, and a pull-up bar, and a huge appetite. You have to eat a lot in this program.
Oh, and rumor has it there will be a Body Beast 2 very soon.

Its all free weights and yea it has a good ab routine but ab ripper x is better

Damn. I may just do T-25 and X3 then. I'll miss X2, though.

If you lift at home then invest in a good power cage, nice bar and some free weights then.
Ill try to link some sites tomorrow for everyone.
And dr would be nice if bb2 came out.

Have you done x1? If not do it after the twelve weeks of t25&x3. Then hit beast body up after you have enough equipment
Posted on 3/19/14 at 10:59 pm to SabiDojo
Yeah, Sabi there's a lot of good workouts but you can't do them all at once.
Just stick with your original plan. That's a good one for you.
And the great thing about these workouts is you can always do them again. X2 isn't gonna go anywhere.
FYI, when you said you did 35 4 ball pushups I got mine out to see if I could still do them. Long story short....nope.

Yeah, I can't believe I did that, the last 10 on one leg too! I'm in the zone now.

Thanks :cheers;
I have incorporated all of that in my routine. I maybe just need to increase my weights & reps.

Haha sounds like me. About a year ago I used to do pushups on my wooden rings with my feet inside a second set, makes it really really hard, long story short I almost killed my self about a week ago trying them. I looked like I was trying to make an X with my body.

Have you done X1?
Yeah, but years ago. It was my brother's, though.

I started the original P90x last Monday. yesterday, for a variety of reasons I missed my first workout. Should I do arms and shoulders today with ab ripper x and yoga x, or just skip yesterday and move on to yoga?

I did X1, but I didn't follow his schedule. I modified it to my own liking, only did resistance videos, and really only did them 3 or 4 times a week.
Now that X3 is 30 minutes, I'm following the schedule and I'm doing doubles at every chance I get. This workout routine is in my wheelhouse and I love it.
