The freaking 3 extra dvd's are $90. That's highway robbery

What did you think? Most people I talk to hated it.
I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. P90X was all about getting stronger and leaner, but P90X2 was more about combining that with balance. Also, you needed a ton of stuff. Balance balls, medicine balls, weights, etc.
I felt like P90X was about getting you in shape, but P90X2 was about getting you in condition to actually compete in a sport. F--- that.

Mine was free, i ordered it about 3 weeks ago. However, when i ordered it, they were doing a free shipping promotional deal.

I got free shipping and an P90X3 cap for ordering on the first day... not that I would ever wear the cap, but it was a nice touch, Tony.

I have no idea how to do that. Just buy the dvd's. It's worth the investment. It's cheaper than going to a gym for 4 months.

Yeah, I really like it, to be honest. I can do yoga moves now that I never thought I could do.
My ONLY gripe is that P90X2 is easy to cheat at. If you don't engage your core, then you're not getting the most out of the workout. Core engagement is huge in every workout, and it's easy to not do. And, when you're in the zone, it's hard to remember whether you engaged your core or not.
Like, in Phase 3, there is no Ab Ripper X2. The reason why is because you are engaging your core, so Ab Ripper X2 isn't necessary. So, I'm doubting whether I'm really getting the most out of it. I may start doing Ab Ripper X2 anyways after each workout, but does that mess up my muscle confusion?

I know what you mean. When I complete one of these programs, I just end up doing the final month over and over until I decide what to start next. I was doing PAP Upper and PAP Lower 2x a week for a couple of months. That really burned me out and I don;t think that I was getting much out of it toward the end.
I recommend P90X3 to anyone who enjoys these things. It is (usually) an intense 30 mins, but you are done fast.
The Challenge... I did 40/10 on Thursday and I am still sore. Damn you, Bobby Stephenson!!

I just take a week break, then restart the program. That's what i did with the 1st P90X.

I've never heard of this. I'm going to check it out. I may do another round of X2 to see if I see any improvement, but I will be moving on to X3 eventually.

Yeah. I was pretty much going rep for rep with Tony until i got to the hop press things. I did 8 of those and nearly puked.
Day 2 starts in 4.5 hours

I meant to say "The Challenge". It is the Day 4 dvd of P90X3. The "Challenge" is that you pick a number for pull-ups and a number for push-ups. (I did 10 and 40) and you have to hit that number every time. 16 exercises. 8 of each. Toward the end, I was taking 2-3 breaks in the middle of each set. It was rough and I still feel it 4 days later.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of shape are you in? You must be completely shredded.

Damn, i don't think i'll be starting that strong. Probably do 6 and 12-15. P90X has taught me that doing a lot of push-ups on your first workout is a terrible idea.

Burning that many DVD's is a pain in the arse.

DAMN
I was dead after doing 8-20 yesterday. The burnout in the end was brutal.

The Spartacus workout is free and you will see similar results.

I am only 5'8". (Part of the reason I can crank out pull-ups/push-ups... I only weigh ~145-150 lbs.).
When I was really watching my intake and eating right, I was at 10% body fat. That was during my first 2 rounds of P90X. After that, I got a little lax on eating and drinking and got back into the 148 range. (~11-12%).
After the holidays, I am at 13%. Might not sound like a lot, but it is disappointing considering where I was.
I am giving myself one more night of eating/drinking badly (tonight during the BCSCG) and then I am getting serious.
