but my tracker said I was only at 2608/2700 calories. that doesn't make sense to me...anyone have any ideas on what could cause that differential?
It could just be in the foods you ate that day. Some foods are more calorie dense then others. There's more calories in a tbsp of peanut butter than a tbsp of avocado, but they probably have around the same amount of fat.
And don't worry too much of your calories are off for a day. As long as you're +/- 100 you'll still get good results. Especially if you're trying to lose and go under by a little. If you're trying to gain, then that's different.

Thanks, and yeah I'm definitely not trying to gain weight...I spent the last year getting it all off! I wouldn't say I'm looking to lose a whole lot more either, but I'm not opposed to it since the fat has to continue disappearing somehow

Any of you using just a protein as a post workout shake and maybe a meal replacement for say breakfast? I have been told that Syntha-6 is a great meal replacement protein and post workout shake.

This is what I do. Though I sometimes use Cellucor C-4 as a pre-workout. Not overly impressed by it, so I don't always use it.

Just wondering, what is everyone's diet like on here. I'm sure there are some dietician geniuses on this thread.
Personally, myself, I'm not too much into the whole diet thing. Ill cut out things like junk food, desserts, sodas, etc to a very minimum until I can just cut it off completely. But other than that, I do what feels natural for my body and makes me feel good and helps me best perform on my workouts.

I do...as soon as I finish my workout I drink my 12oz of gatorade and then just mix up 2 scoops (2 servings) of my Whey. I use the ON gold standard stuff in extreme milk chocolate flavor...it's doesn't taste terrible. I should probably have more for breakfast to be honest but I'm usually rushing out the door as it is.

As far as just being generally fit and healthy that's a very a good philosophy. For those who want to get super cut, six pack, biceps, P90X poster boy like a lot in this thread that takes a lot of fine tuning and strict dietary discipline.

I use protein after resistance workouts, p90x results and recovery formula after hard cardio, and drink shakeology in the morning.
Syntha-6 is ok but I didn't find it to be anything special. I'd rather use ON Gold Standard or MP Combat Powder.
Been reading a little research lately on how casein is more effective then whey on any level, post workout or pre sleep. Not sure how legit it is yet though, still looking into that.

I also do this because I dont want to lose too much weight. I lift a lot, so I'm a little larger than most. And I like my size. I just wanted to get back to my former high school football athleticism. In just about 2 weeks, I've dropped about 5 pounds, I just want to lose about 10 more and Ill be fine.

Try it with milk. It is 10x better.

Interesting. That is counter to every bit of research I've seen. Keep us posted. I can't imagine how it's better after a workout if it is indeed as slow to absorb as research suggests.

Well, the thing that I read was measuring lean muscle mass and body fat in a control vs whey only vs casein only groups. The casein group had the best gains in muscle and loss of body fat, but they didn't have a group that did whey post workout and casein at bed like we previously thought, so that's why I somewhat question the validity.
All of the protein takers were getting 1.5 g per kg lean body weight of protein a day though.

Huh. Does it say when they were taking the protein at all? Meaning: were they taking the casein immediately after a workout and the whey immediately after a workout in each of the test groups or were they taking them later in the day? Just seems a bit odd, I agree. If whey is most effective immediately after a workout, then taking it before bed would be stupid (unless you worked out immediately before bed). On the other hand, if casein is providing better gains than whey when taken immediately after a workout, that would be surprising.
Also, the common notion among fitness gurus is 1 g of protein per pound of body weight in order to most effectively gain muscle. So I would think you would need about 2.2 g of protein per kg since 1 kg = 2.2 lbs. I wonder if they are trying to change that up, too.

Did eccentric lower today. shite is weak. Barely broke a sweat compared to the other workouts.
I had been previously replacing it with my fiancées class power burn. That shite runs circles around all the p90 workouts anyway.

Some say 1g per lb. Some say 1.5g per kg. There really isn't a general consensus.
And my understanding is they were supplementing their protein intake with either only whey or only casein. When they took it I'm not exactly sure.

link? Sounds intriguing. Are you referring to Power Muscle Burn?

Tried it with Milk once and didn't enjoy it as much oddly enough...that could be though because it was skim milk. Since I'm trying to get more calories I may try to convince the wife we need something better than skim and give it another go.

Total Body Circuit was awesome earlier. CVX will feel good, but I'm doing it after the game.

Had Warrior for the first time today. Legs did pretty well, but the planks were killing me towards the end.
